IMMANUEL IN OUR COMMUNITY!
Almelund Farmer’s Market is from 3-6 every Friday at Rod’s—Don’t miss the fresh produce, baked goods, along with other surpris-es from people in the neighborhood!

"ALMELUND Night On The Town" Friday, August 5th. Music in Triangle Park will be provided by The Inter-State Band from 6-7:00pm. [In case of rain, concert will be held at the Amador Town Hall.] Meet up with your friends for an old-fashioned community get-together. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic supper. Don't want to cook? Order a pizza or a sub sandwich from Rod's Country Corner, or stop in the Almelund Mercantile where "Sausage on a Stick" and Root Beer Floats are available. Come early to check out the Flea Market at the Mercantile. Don't miss the Farmer's Market, located at Rod's and held Fridays from 3-6:00pm during the summer months. Take a stroll through the Amador Heritage Center grounds. At 7pm we will meet at the Log Barn Cinema on the Heritage grounds for a dose of great old Comedy Mov-ies from the "Golden Age of Cinema!" Celebrate Almelund, "The Busiest Small Town In Minnesota!"

BREAD DAY IN ALMELUND—Fri., August 11, 3:30 at the Township Office (Old Fire Hall). A small price will get you many loaves & treats from this community service.

Sunday, August 6Food Shelf Sunday - We are collecting for kid’s meals during the summer. Donate things like Spaghettio’s, Beef Stew, Chicken & Stars soup, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Fruit Cups, Breakfast Ce-real as well as the regular donations like canned tuna and chicken, Ham-burger Helper, chili, canned veggies and fruit. High protein menu items are most desired. Bring items to the grocery cart in the narthex.

We are collecting school supplies for the Family Pathways back pack program. These are some items we could use: Rulers, Pencils, Pens, Glue sticks, Glue bottles, Crayons, Scissors, Markers, Colored pencils. The deadline is August 18th as school starts on Sept. 5th. School supplies can definitely be brought in with food shelf items. Thank you for your help with this project. -Gayle
