Thank You… Merrie, I sure enjoy getting the sermon and the bulletin (in the mail)—Thank you so much, Sherrill Swenson

Many, Many THANKS to everyone who helped in any way with the Apple Festival. Despite the heat and the Vikings/Packers game, it was a GREAT celebration for the 25th year of this event. We hear many com-ments from people on how they love and look forward to coming to this "Family Fun Day"! Community support and working together continues to make "Almelund - The Busiest Small Town In Minnesota".

Thank you to all who stopped by and supported the Youth Group at Apple Fest. Was great seeing so many won-derful people. Also, thanks to the youths parents for getting the kids there and the hard work the parents put into it as well. Great job everyone!!!

We received a nice thank you from Willie Johnson for our donation to building the Liberian trade school for refugees: Dear Pastor Marla,

I don’t know how much to appreciate you and Immanuel for your kind-ness and generosity towards the building project in Liberia. I received those checks yesterday and was overwhelmed with joy. May the good Lord strengthen and direct your steps. I ask for your continued prayers even as I plan for a trip to Liberia next year.

God bless you, Willie

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project. We sent checks totaling $2,464. That was a very generous response to a real need!

FROM SHARON AND DUANE THIEL Greetings! I know we have all heard or said "Ask and you shall receive." WOW! I sure know what that means. I started the CDs for Vets Veterans project in 2004, In Fargo, ND after Duane & I married. We had been to all 50 states 2010—We have shared this project while on mission trips, with friends and relatives, or any veteran activities. It’s doing some thing small that enriches lives in many ways. I will take the CDs I received here from you to Silver Bay, Fergus Falls, LaVern, Hastings, also Mineapolis, St. Cloud & Fargo have long term care. Another facility, "The Eagle’s Nest" by Sauk Center and they have expanded over by Elk River will receive. Another place dedicated to vetererans, "Veterans on the Lake" up by Ely. As long as I or we are able to do this project we will, still taking it to other states. So Thank you Pat for the (why don’t you!) Now I will ask at other churches, this is so exciting. I also am a Thrivent member and get action team financial help and t-shirts. Thank you and God’s Blessings! Sharon will be collecting CDs for Vets until October 21!
