Food Service Groups
Immanuel has 5 food service groups made up of members of the congregation, that take
turns providing funeral lunches, Lenten Soup & Sandwich Suppers, special church functions
such as pot-luck dinners and the Memorial Day Dinner. Each service group is responsible for
setting up, serving and clean-up. When new members join Immanuel, they will be added to
the service group that their sponsors are a part of. The church office will let the next group
in charge know of an up-coming function – in the case of a funeral...the funeral home or
family will pass on the number of people expected and may have a specific lunch menu
request. The Food Service Groups provide a very important part of Immanuel's Outreach
Ministry, especially during times of grief.

The Food Service Callers/Coordinators plan and purchase needed groceries, call the
members on their list asking for help in providing food, monetary donations to help
with costs and/or help with the meal.

Callers/Coordinators for Food Service Groups are...
Group 1 – June & Clarence McKenzie, Bernice Pearson
Group 2 – Linda & Jim Mielke, Jeske Noordergraaf
Group 3 – Lois & Marlin Ness, Martha & Martin Strecker
Group 4 – Pat Remer, Gina & Ken Sapp
