Luther Point Bible Camp information is here listing all the summer program options for 2018!

We encourage kids, parents, and grandpar-ents to pick up a brochure in the Gathering Area or the Narthex and complete their plans to participate in summer camp this year - 2/3 of the camp cost is paid by coffee offerings and this year the remaining 1/3 will be paid by an anonymous donor. That means that camp is free for all members! What an amazing opportunity! Bible camp changes lives. Bible camp deepens faith. Bible camp has life long benefits. Don't miss this free opportunity to give your child the gift of a Luther Point Bible Camp experience!" August 4 - Quilt Auction www.lutherpoint.org

Luther Point Bible Camp has a list of needs using Thrivent Action team dollars. $250.00 can be used by each Thrivent Member. Contact Luther Point for info.

Saint Paul Area Synod Assembly—May 18-19, 2018 This year’s synod assembly brought together over 400 clergy and lay members of the ELCA for a time of worship, elections, education, and meetings. Our theme was "Restless and Resolute." We heard from several young adults, speaking about the activities to get our young people involved and engaged in the church. Youth Global Mission, Lutheran Volunteers, synod meetings, etc. Norm Peterson’s niece Colleen was involved in one series of events for young adults. Our meetings spoke to the ELCA Social Statement "Women and Justice" and we talked about Inter-religious commitment. You can find out more about the ELCA social statements by going to www.elca.org - select Social statements then "Women and Justice."

There was electing of people for various offices and for the 2019 Churchwide Assembly, Tracy Tolzmann will be representing our synod at the event in Milwaukee. My favorite part is always the vibrant and exciting worship times. We had fantastic music and wonderful readings and inspirational sermons. I have been to the synod assembly several times as a dele-gate and as a visitor. I have never been disappointed and I would like to encourage others to go to the Synod Assembly as a delegate or a guest. Merrie Tolzmann, 2018 SPAS Assembly delegate.
